A new co-editor

Andy Riverbed is the newest member of the Thieves Jargon editorial staff. Now that moving away from massive amounts of incoming submissions, the need for a Minister of Occasional Sorrow is diminished (except for all those people who are going to submit regardless of posted guidelines. Check out Andy's farewell rejection here. Andy recently conducted an online interview with Lit Chaos, which touches on interesting topics like boot camp, Justin Hyde, and heroin sickness. Listen.

I think Andy is massively talented, and I'm glad to have him on board helping us scour the web for submissions.

Congrats! Welcome Mr. Riverbed!

I'm curious to see what happens to this journal now, what changes are in store.

Some people might put value on being another's first. I happen to take great pride in being Mr. Riverbed's last.

Thanks for the good time, Andy. I'll never forget it.

Brad, you might not notice the difference. I think most of it will be behind the scenes. I hope that doesn't let you down too much.

Jac, I can't believe you'd flirt with Andy like that in front of me.

Matt, that was all in the past. I was just paying tribute to what I shared with Andy. You're the only one for me now, baby. I refer you to these song lyrics by 1995 one-hit wonder, Take That. They're able to say everything I don't have the words for right now:

Got a fist of pure emotion
Got a head of shattered dreams
Gotta leave it, gotta leave it all behind now

Whatever I said, whatever I did I didn't mean it
I just want you back for good
Whenever I'm wrong just tell me the song and I'll sing it
You'll be right and understood

Unaware but underlined I figured out this story
It wasn't good
But in the corner of my mind I celebrated glory
But that was not to be
In the twist of separation you excelled at being free
Can't you find a little room inside for me

Whatever I said, whatever I did I didn't mean it
I just want you back for good
Whenever I'm wrong just tell me the song and I'll sing it
You'll be right and understood

And we'll be together, this time is forever
We'll be fighting and forever we will be
So complete in our love
We will never be uncovered again
