New issue of Swill Magazine
They only publish like once a year, but I've always been a big fan of Swill Magazine. They more than make up for their long production time by publishing some high-end fiction. As far as small press PRINT productions go, I think they're up there. Earlier issues have featured my favorite Spencer Dew story, Delphine Lecompte, Corey Mesler, and more. Issue 4 has Thieves Jargon co-idiot Steve Young, probably due to reputation only, but membership has its priveleges, and you're not a member. I won't review it because I haven't received my copy yet, but just know I'm not going to ask for a free copy, and you shouldn't either.

I would like to inform you that Mr. Young's piece was accepted on its merits; the fact that he was nice like a puppy when we asked for revisions did him no harm either.
So this Young guy has a reputation? EEEEn-teresting.
Thanks for the swell notice -- we think this is the best issue so far. Not as much experimental fiction as I'd like and it's a fuckin' sausage fest again, but it's solid from one end to the other.

Got my issue yesterday. Haven't read it yet but it looks stellar. Go buy one. It's 5 bones. Less than a dollar a story. I happen to know that at least one story in the issue is worth more than that.
And John Effing Shirley is in there too.
I have several reputations, DiGangi, almost all of them unearned. Either way, you're gonna have to narrow it down.

Thanks for the kind words, Matt. I've always seen the Jargon as a kindred spirit with much tighter deadlines. Kindred to the extent that every year I ask Jargon writers to contribute, so we should share some of the same readers, since we share some of the same writers.
